JVs Fall to Varsity Reserve Trojans

Saturday October 6th the sophomore lead JV team was outscored 21-7 to McDowells Varsity Reserve team at Gus Anderson Field. The 19 dressed Ramblers played well and hung tough with a 40 manned McDowell team and had it tied 7-7 going into the 4th quarter. Paniro Johnson scored the lone Rambler touchdown to put them up 7-0 and found running room for most of the day against the Trojan defense. The Ramblers missed 2 field goals and could not cash in on opportunities inside McDowells redzone giving McDowell the hope they needed. The Trojans were able to score on a long touchdown pass in the first half and on two long runs in the 4th quarter, taking advantage of the Ramblers iron men who had to play both ways. Prep fell to 2-4 and will return to action next week at Villa Angela - St Joes in Cleveland.
