Canisius outlasts Rambler JVs 28-27

BUFFALO - The Rambler JVs fell just short on the road losing 28-27 to Canisius in Buffalo on Saturday morning. The loss dropped the sophomores to 2-2 on the year. Canisius offense spent most of the time in the middle of the field but had success getting behind the Rambler defense and their tall receivers we’re able to snag 3 jump balls for touchdowns. Prep had their opportunities. With flags halting two long drives and another taking a touchdown off the board, Paniro Johnson and the Rambler run game moved the ball consistently answering every time Canisius scored. The Crusaders took a lead late in the 4th but Mo Troop returned the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown to pull the Ramblers within 1. They chose to go for the win with a 2 point conversion but the pass attempt went in and out of the Ramblers hands and Canisius escaped with the victory. The sophomores return home Friday night for a 5pm kickoff with St. Francis.
