On August 23th the Cathedral Prep football team elected the 2016 varsity captains. During the final lunch at Camp Notre Dame the team was asked to nominate members of the team for captainship. As a team over twenty players were selected and made eligible to receive votes. Once the nominees had been listed the entire team, Varsity and JV selected five captains as well as an honorary captain. The players selected in alphabetical order are; Junior RB/LB #27 Mathew Bauer, Senior OL/DL #78 Dominick Covatto, Senior OL/DL #57 Cameron Landis, Junior QB #11 Joseph Mischler, and Senior LB/FB #33 Jerry Roberts. Injured Junior LB/FB #40 Ian Malesiewski was selected as an Honorary Captain. The captains were revealed to the teams during the captains fire on the last night of camp, a honorary right of passage for the Cathedral Prep football program. Congratulations to the 2016 Captains!
